Food Systems & Green Schoolyards: Lessons from Austin
Invited Guest: Edwin Marty
Join us for a conversation with Edwin Marty, Food Policy Manager for the City of Austin, as he shares insights into the intersection of food systems and green schoolyards. Drawing on Austin’s experience, Edwin will explore why the city joined the Milan Urban Food Pact, how the Austin–Travis County Food Plan was developed, and the vision behind the Central Texas Food Garden Network. This session will highlight how food policy and school gardens can support more sustainable, equitable, and engaging learning environments for young people.
