Anyone who has shared their intentions to leave a planned gift to Salzburg Global are invited to join the Max Reinhardt Legacy Society.
Max Reinhardt was a pioneering theatre impresario who acquired Schloss Leopoldskron, which would become Salzburg Global’s home, in 1918. He immediately recognized the building’s potential as a stage for ideas, collaboration, and cultural exchange.
Reinhardt restored the Schloss with sensitivity and imagination, blending historic grandeur with new creative energy. He is credited with installing State Rooms around the building, including the Great Hall, Venetian Salon, and the Library. Beyond a physical transformation, the Schloss became an integral part of cultural life in Salzburg, bringing together writers, actors, composers, and thinkers.
Since 1947, Salzburg Global has continued to honor Reinhardt’s vision for Schloss Leopoldskron, using the space as a stage for cultural exchange, ideation, and transformational moments.
Now, the Max Reinhardt Legacy Society honors all those who have been a part of Salzburg Global’s story — and who have committed to helping us write the next chapter.
If you have already included Salzburg Global in your estate plans, we would be honored if you would let us know. Sharing your plans allows us to recognize your generosity, invite you to the Reinhardt Society, and ensure that your gift is directed according to your wishes.
