"Taking action for nature" Education for Biodiversity Training of Educators

Greening School Grounds Community of Practice Monthly Meeting

Invited Guest: Nathan Speese

WWF, together with a number of partners, is developing a new educator training that focuses on supporting learners to get active for nature. Going beyond the traditional "learning about nature and biodiversity" approach, this training supports educators to facilitate deeper connections, skills, and attitudes, and create meaningful opportunities for learners to apply action/project-based learning to take action on local biodiversity challenges. Using both hybrid and full-online delivery, the training should be adaptable for local learning environments.
