Global Perspectives on Peace in Times of Conflict
The world today stands at a critical juncture characterized by persistent conflicts and escalating tensions across various global arenas. At such a time, the importance of ethical leadership and concerted efforts towards peacebuilding cannot be overstated.
This symposium, conducted in partnership between the Salzburg Global Seminar and the Jewish Museum Vienna, will spotlight the exhibition currently on display at Museum Judenplatz: “Frieden || Peace.” We convene a diverse group of individuals, including policymakers, legal experts, activists, and academics, to explore the multifaceted challenges of peace negotiations and conflict resolution. Through a series of panel discussions, the event will delve into the interplay between peace and justice, the impact of cultural initiatives, the importance of historical memory, and in particular the pivotal role of women in peacebuilding processes.
