Rina Malagayo Alluri is assistant professor and UNESCO Chairholder for Peace Studies at the University of Innsbruck. Rina co-leads an international and interdisciplinary master's program and is engaged in research and practice on: social emotional learning, critical peace education, coloniality and decoloniality, gender and intersectionality, positionality and reflexivity, identity and belonging, transnational diasporas and business and peace. Rina conducted her PhD on the role of economic actors in post-war Sri Lanka and her Post-doctoral research on the political engagement of the transnational Sri Lankan Tamil diaspora in Switzerland. She has extensive experience in international peacebuilding NGOs and consultancies in Asia and Africa such as in Myanmar, Rwanda, Ethiopia and South Africa. Rina is a Salzburg Global Fellow since 2020.
