Reimagining Education for Human Flourishing
Karanga Monthly Community Call
How can education systems around the world move beyond narrow metrics of success and genuinely enable human flourishing for every child?
In November 2025, the OECD published the Education for Human Flourishing framework, which offers a set of responses to this question and proposes a new way of thinking about the purpose of education.
Michael Stephenson, the lead author of the report underpinning the framework, will share an overview of the current work on Human Flourishing and explore how it can serve as an actionable organising principle—shaping curriculum, assessment, pedagogy, youth engagement, and whole‑system change.
