Nwabisa Kondile

Program Intern

Nwabisa Kondile is a program intern at Salzburg Global. Her work focuses on supporting program delivery through administrative and research assistance, with a strong interest in the intersection of education policy, sustainability, and social justice. Prior to joining Salzburg Global, Nwabisa held an administrative and research support role, where she contributed to project coordination and analysis. Nwabisa holds a Bachelor of Arts majoring in environmental and sustainability studies, geography and political studies from the University of the Western Cape (UWC), Cape Town, and a Master of Science in sustainable development from University College Dublin (UCD), Ireland. Her master's thesis, "Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) as a Policy Tool: South Africa's Integration of Sustainability Principles for Social Justice and Equal Opportunities," examined how education policy can advance sustainability, equity, and social justice, as well as the gap between policy commitments and implementation in South Africa's education system. Originally from Cape Town, South Africa, Nwabisa enjoys working out, hiking, watching series, reading, and exploring new places. She speaks English and isiXhosa.
