PPNVE Cohort 4: Network Meeting 4

These knowledge development sessions will include presentations from a diverse array of thought leaders and the resulting discussion with Fellows will focus on the critical importance of diverse views and experiences in public policy. Capacity development and skills-building sessions will support Fellows with reflecting on their personal and professional leadership goals.

Embodying Freedom with Dr. Cathy-Mae Karelse, Climate Youth Resilience Global Lead, The Mindfulness Initiative

As chasms deepen and worlds collide, bodies continue to be marked by systems of discrimination and exclusion. Communities of belonging are antidotes to systems and structures premised on divide-and-rule. Togetherness and witnessing nourish cosmologies once silenced and allow imaginings to resurface. This session considers how we live our values into being, and whether it is possible to practice liberation as systemic divisions intensify unbelonging and marginalisation. Do we have the power to change minds, shift narratives, and shape worlds in spite of adversity?

Participation in this meeting is limited to existing members of cohort 4 of the Public Policy New Voices Europe Fellowship.
