Surya HK is a cultural strategist and media practitioner working at the intersection of arts, global affairs, and higher education. He is network development specialist for the Culture Pillar at Salzburg Global, where he strengthens international fellowships, designs opportunities for collaboration, and builds partnerships across media, public policy, and social change. He also serves as design lead for the Salzburg Academy on Media and Global Change. Previously, Surya was country lead-India for Google Arts & Culture, and senior manager of marketing & PR at the JSW Foundation’s Museum of Solutions, a pioneering children’s museum dedicated to climate action and the SDGs. He led event curation and outreach at the Museum of Art & Photography in Bangalore, served as chief of staff to Samir Jain, Vice Chairman of The Times of India Group, and taught at Ashoka University. A writer by practice and reader by passion, he thrives on connecting ideas, people, and narratives to drive impact. He is a Young India Fellow and Salzburg Global Fellow.
