AI Policymaking in the New Era
In this session, participants will explore how AI systems are shaped by the social and political environments in which they are developed. We'll examine a framework that emphasizes the importance of understanding how societal biases, such as those related to race and culture, can be embedded in algorithms and datasets, impacting both the design and outcomes of AI technologies. Participants will be encouraged to consider their own roles in shaping the future of AI and emerging tech, including how to advocate for more inclusive, ethical, and sustainable technology policies. How can we think critically about the systems we build, the data we use, and the broader social impacts of AI, while fostering a deeper understanding of the power dynamics at play in technology development?
Participation in this meeting is limited to existing members of cohort 4 of the Public Policy New Voices Europe Fellowship.
