Aung Than Oo is a program officer working at Institute for Strategy, Myanmar. He is responsible for monitoring the national ceasefire agreement and the status of conflict throughout Myanmar. He has been working in research and socio-economic development for over five years. As an ASEAN Myworld 2030 Field SDG advocate, he is actively involved in the national SDG monitoring unit and related community engagement. He has worked with local government and other stakeholders to conduct a universal periodic review in this role. Aung is also a KAICIID South Southeast Asia fellow and has implemented hate speech reduction projects in conflict-affected areas. With commonwealth scholarship support, he studied migration, climate-change, and youth at the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. He is a graduate of the University of Medicine-2 and achieved as Pacific forum young leader for US-Myanmar non-proliferation program in 2019.
