Salzburg Global publishes a digital report to showcase five years of collaborative peacebuilding through the Asia Peace Innovators Forum

Launched in 2020, the Asia Peace Innovators Forum has brought together mid-career professionals in promoting peace and reconciliation through initiatives across the region. The program was initiated to shape long-term peace, stability, and regional cooperation by creating and sustaining an interdisciplinary network of mid-career professionals across Asia with significant leadership and innovation potential.

The Forum encompasses four cohorts containing nearly 200 Fellows, including from priority countries such as Myanmar, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, and Thailand, as well as from other countries across south and southeast Asia. It has connected innovators for peace across sectors through a transboundary network to exchange experiences of community-driven approaches and best practices at practical workshops online and in both Salzburg and Asia.

By connecting Fellows with other professionals across regions and sectors, the Forum has enhanced their individual and cumulative peacebuilding efforts. Through their participation both online and at in-person convenings, Fellows collaborated in small teams on community-driven projects that bolster peace and stability across Asia.

This five-year report showcases the collaborative work that has taken place in Salzburg, Asia, and beyond. It includes details of collaborative projects, Fellows’ opinions and testimonials, and insights about innovative approaches to peacebuilding.

We invite you to read the full five-year report here.

The Asia Peace Innovators Forum is a collaborative initiative of Salzburg Global with The Nippon Foundation. Salzburg Global is grateful for the generous support and partnership of The Nippon Foundation that makes this program possible.
