Head of Unit - Economic Analysis, E3M/RICARDO, Greece
Zoi Vrontisi currently serves as Head of the Economic Analysis Unit at RICARDO/E3-Modelling. Zoi has more than 15 years of professional and academic experience in energy and climate policy assessment. Her work supports strategic decision-making for European and international institutions, including the European Commission, the World Bank, UN agencies, and national governments across Europe, Asia, and the Balkans. At the same time, she coordinates and actively contributes to EU-funded research consortia under Horizon Europe and H2020. She has strong know-how in quantitative assessments with the application of sophisticated modelling tools, such as the large-scale CGE GEM-E3 model. She has also worked for the European Commission, the Greek Ministry of Development, other research institutes and the private sector. She was a member of the BoD of the Independent Power Transmission Operator of Greece and the Chairwoman of the National Center for the Environment and Sustainable Development of Greece. Zoi holds an Electrical and Computer Engineering 5-year degree from NTUA and a M.Sc. in Environmental Technology and Energy Policy from Imperial College and regularly publishes her research in high impact journals.
