Wyne Wyne Pye is the national technical expert in the Environmental Conservation Department at the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation for Ecosystem Based Adaptation for Climate Change together with UNEP for the Asia-Pacific Region. She is a development professional and ILO certified Master trainer; specializing in environmental management, learning and development, and Community-based ecotourism development. She is passionate about weaving livelihood skills and tradition through community entrepreneurship. She has over 15 years of multicultural and diverse experiences including a number of volunteer opportunities and community leadership roles. Since she returning to her country in 2011, she has actively engaged in impact activities for both local and regional youth, as well as with the government by assisting in policies and dialogues, awareness raising campaigns, strategic planning and problem solving initiatives. She is a founder of HER social enterprise and a co-founder of Thant Myanmar, non-profit organization which lead the grassroots movements on beat the plastic pollution for environmental solutions. As well as this, she is a mentor for global youth on leadership skills and capacity development under the guidance of Wedu and 10 Billion Strong organizations.
