Vijayanathan Thusandra Thusandra is a dynamic global advocate in the field of sexual and reproductive health and rights, particularly for women and marginalized youth. He is currently working as a project manager affiliated with the National Peace Council of Sri Lanka, where his main role is to meaningfully engage young women and men in peacebuilding processes all around Sri Lanka. As an international master trainer in the internationally acclaimed Y PEER edutainment methodology on sexual and reproductive health rights advocacy, he has trained over 5000 young people from the Asia Pacific region. He also worked with ChildFund Sri Lanka, United Nations Population Fund, the United Nations Development Program and UN volunteers in various capacities in relation to youth empowerment. As a passionate activist, he works with young people with disabilities, living with HIV and AIDS, sex workers, sexual minorities, injecting drug users, and marginalized communities, especially in post-war zones. He holds a bachelor's degree in social work from the National Institute of Social Development, Sri Lanka, a diploma in international relations from the Bandaranayke Centre for International Studies, Sri Lanka, a diploma in leadership and youth development from the Swedish Institute, Sweden, and a postgraduate diploma in gender and women's studies from the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka.
