Veripamue Kahimise is a Namibian economist currently serving as Senior Country Economist for Namibia at the African Development Bank. Previously served as Deputy Director at the Ministry of Finance and Public Enterprises in Namibia. Her extensive career in public service includes previous roles as Chief Economist and Economist within the Ministry of Finance, as well as National Development Advisor at the National Planning Commission. Her expertise lies in macro-fiscal policy analysis and macroeconomic modeling and forecasting. Kahimise's scholarly contributions include a publication titled "An investigation of the relationship between gross domestic savings and interest rates in Namibia," listed on the Connecting-Africa website. Furthermore, she has contributed to public policy development throughout her tenure as a public sector employee. She served on several boards. Kahimise has keen interest in Climate change related financing as well as ensuring Just Transition.
