Uthpala Wijesuriya is a writer and researcher who is studying law at the Sri Lanka Law College and the University of Peradeniya. He previously studied international relations at the Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies. He is interested in history, art, culture, and the social sciences. He interned at the National Archives of Sri Lanka in 2023. For his A Levels in 2022, he focused on History, Logic, and Political Science. He was appointed as a Senior Prefect and the Head of his school’s Archives Committee. He has authored or contributed to several books and research papers on such topics as the Anglican Church of Ceylon; Martin Wickramasinghe, Sri Lanka’s preeminent writer of the 20th century; and essays by Sri Lankan political analyst and former ambassador Dayan Jayatilleka.
