Ugochukwu Stephen Ugwudi is a program coordinator for the Coalition of African Youths Against Terrorism in Maiduguri, Nigeria. Founded in 2012, it is a highly-committed humanitarian organization that has recruited over 485 youths against terrorism and works among persons displaced as a result of Boko Haram terrorists' activities in Nigeria. Stephen Ugo is interested in discovering and exploring innovative ideas, novel approaches, and new ways of thinking to tackle long-standing terrorism and violent extremism. His projects include youth activism engaged in advocacy for peacebuilding and strengthening civic engagement among youths. He also volunteers for other social organizations like the Safe Space Initiative to mentor girls and adolescent young women on life skills, and the Street-To-School Program, helping street kids within the community return to school. Stephen Ugo aspires to end terrorism, strengthen civic engagement amongst youths, and restore lasting peace in north-eastern Nigeria. He received a bachelor's certificate from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Nigeria.
