Tony Aditya Herdianto is special advisor to the governor of West Papua, in Manokwari, supporting inclusive governance, indigenous participation, and cross-provincial coordination through the Cross-Papua Collaboration Agency. His work focuses on integrating cultural perspectives into public policy, regional development planning, and institutional reform in a newly established provincial context. Tony is also founder and director of the Doreka Foundation, a youth-led organization working on education, environmental stewardship, and community-based cultural initiatives across Papua. His work is grounded in the belief that culture is a strategic asset for equitable, resilient, and locally driven development. With over a decade of experience spanning government, civil society, and international development, he works at the intersection of cultural policy, sustainability, and local governance. He previously served in various roles advancing cultural development and policy initiatives and is a Humphrey International Fellow at the University of Minnesota, US, an Australia Awards alumnus, and a YSEALI Fellow.
