Tong Wu is a research creative technologist and multimedia artist raised on the Internet. She now co-exists with her digital doubles in New York and the Chrome browser. Her art practice, which incorporates interactive installation, customized generative AI models, web, creative design, and workshops, explores the subtle yet dynamic connections we make with ubiquitous AI systems embedded around us and the societal or cultural shifts that come along, as long as whose profound influence on reshaping the definition of being a human in this era. She is also a user experience engineer at Google, focusing on AI-related socio-technological research and prototyping. Wu graduated from the Interactive Telecommunications Program at New York University and the photojournalism program at the University of Maryland, College Park. Her projects and artistic endeavors have garnered international recognition from prestigious organizations such as the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam DocLab Program, Lumen Prize Award, Emmy Award Chesapeake Bay Chapter, INDEX Biennial of Art and Technology in Braga Portugal, Koganechō Art Management Center in Yokohama, Japan, CURRENTS New Media Festival in New Mexico, U.S., CultureHub & La Mama experimental theater club in New York, U.S., SandBox Immersive Festival Acceleration Program in Hangzhou, China.
