Thirusha Naidu is Canada Research Chair in Equity and Social Justice in Global Medical Education and Associate Professor in the Department for Innovation in Medical Education (DIME) at the University of Ottawa. She also holds an Honorary Senior Visiting Fellowship at the University of Cambridge's Department of Public Health and Primary Care and is an Associate Professor in Psychiatry at the University of KwaZulu-Natal. With 26 years of experience as a clinical psychologist in South Africa's public health sector, her research centers on advancing equity and social justice in global health professions education, mental health, and infectious diseases. Thirusha's work is informed by critical, decolonial, and feminist theories, and she is known for her innovative use of research poetry to promote reflexivity and accountability. A renowned international speaker and facilitator, she is dedicated to challenging traditional methodologies and advancing inclusive research practices.
