Master's Candidate, University for Peace, Costa Rica/Myanmar
Thinn Thinn is a master's candidate at the University for Peace, Costa Rica, currently doing research for her thesis on stateless people in Myanmar. She has worked in various sectors in Myanmar, but her dream has always been to work in a social justice-related area. Thinn became a board member of Sarus, an organization building better relationships between bordering countries with histories of distrust, after working as a program lead for the Bangladesh- Myanmar exchange program in 2016. She was also a speaker at Northern Illinois University for Burma Studies Conference in 2016. Thinn holds a bachelor's degree in sociology and legal studies from Colby-Sawyer College, USA.
