Thilina Madiwala is the Co-Founder and Director of Social Transformative Action Network for Development, a women-led organization that promotes peace and rights-based development in Sri Lanka. Thilina is a feminist peacebuilder from Sri Lanka with over a decade of experience in program management, training, facilitation, research, and advocacy. She has collaborated with women's organizations, the United Nations, ministries, politicians, and other stakeholders to ensure a gender-transformative peace process in Sri Lanka. She is qualified and experienced in Gender, Women, Peace, and Security in South Asia and Europe. She is a Sri Lanka Women's NGO Forum member and an alumnus of SANGAT, a South Asian Feminist Network. Her research interests are intersectionality, conflict-related sexual violence, and militarised masculinities. She is pursuing her master's at the University of Queensland, Australia.
