Tereza Capelos

Tereza Capelos is a professor of political psychology at the University of Southampton. Her research examines grievance politics, resentful emotionality, and reactionary orientations as drivers of anti-democratic and autocratic political preferences. She is a lead researcher in the Horizon Europe projects PLEDGE and PROTEMO, which examine emotions and democratic governance. She established and co-convenes the ECPR Standing Group on Political Psychology, is co-editor of the Palgrave Studies in Political Psychology series, and is a former president of the International Society of Political Psychology (ISPP).
