Dr Tareq Layka is a dentist, activist, facilitator, consultant, and lecturer in global health, political science, and peacebuilding & conflict resolution. Originally from Syria, his work critically examines the intersection of health, peacebuilding, politics, and their security ramifications. Beyond his extensive fieldwork in Syria and internationally, Tareq has founded and led initiatives aimed at fostering health and peace. As a TEDx speaker, he regularly shares his insights with audiences worldwide. He holds a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and an M.Sc. in Global Health, Social Justice, and Public Policy from King's College, London.
