Tammy is a lawyer specialized in human rights and gender. She has dedicated her career and professional knowledge to promoting gender equality and defending the rights of all people. Co-founder of Descentralizadas, a regional Corporation from Biobío that works for the economic autonomy of women, promoting leadership with a gender perspective. She is also a pro bono lawyer at Fundación Iguales, an NGO that promotes LGBTQI+ rights. She was the first lawyer to provide this free legal service outside the metropolitan region for the Foundation, which is a reflection of her great struggle to decentralize the country. For all this work from civil society, she was recognized among the 100 young leaders of 2018 in Chile. In 2020 she served as an external consultant for UN Women in the Biobío Region, promoting good gender equality practices within companies. Tammy dedicates part of her time to teaching university classes in the area of ??Fundamental Rights, Theory of the Constitution, Human Rights and Gender Violence. She was member of the Chilean Constitutional Convention, an part of the State form commission and Harmonization commission, this last one on which she also co-coordinated it.
