Sumayya Jaeh is a curator, program manager, and public policy enthusiast. She is the creative director of Open Arts, a collective hub she co-founded, where she curates the annual Hausa International Book and Arts Festival (HIBAF). Sumayya also serves as a researcher at the National Gallery of Arts, a government agency dedicated to promoting and presenting Nigeria's contemporary art. Her work focuses on bringing West African art to the global stage, with a particular interest in northern Nigerian art. With extensive experience in the Nigerian art sector, she has actively engaged with festivals and cultural initiatives across the country, contributing to the growth and visibility of the region's artistic landscape. Sumayya is a fellow of the Kashim Ibrahim Fellowship and the Arts Managers and Literary Activists Network (AMLAN).
