Sue Roffey is an honorary professor at University College London and director of Growing Great Schools Worldwide, where she speaks and consults internationally on what young people need in education for individuals and societies to thrive. Her work focuses on student and school wellbeing, including behavior, relationships, social and emotional learning (SEL), and whole-school culture. Previously, Sue worked as a teacher, educational psychologist, and academic. She is the founder of the ASPIRE principles Agency, Safety, Positivity, Inclusion, Respect, and Equity which underpin her pedagogical framework for the practice of SEL. Sue is currently co-editing The Handbook of Wellbeing in Schools: Research Transforming Culture and was one of six positive psychology authors of Creating the World We Want to Live In (Routledge, 2021). She earned her B.A., M.A., and Ph.D. in education and psychology in the United Kingdom.
