Simon Stumpf is co-leads the People & Planet initiative at Ashoka. In this role he helps design and guide cross-sector collaborations to advance systems change. One of his main projects at present is guiding a global effort to spotlight and strengthen the bond between children, nature, and changemaking, working with dozens of Ashoka Fellows at this field's forefront to ensure that every child emerges from childhood with their innate connection to nature intact. Simon previously led Ashoka's East Africa program in launching 13,000 young changemakers and Ashoka's US team in electing more than 100 Fellows that better reflect the diversity of that country. Over the years he's worked closely with hundreds of leading social entrepreneurs, youth leaders, rural innovators, and child development experts. He lives and works in vibrant rural Wisconsin where, along with his wife, he raises kids and vegetables.
