Simangele Msweli is a South African conservationist with interest and experience in research, community engagement, and policy. Currently a Senior Manager- Youth Leadership Program at the African Wildlife Foundation (AWF), she oversees the implementation of the organization's Youth Engagement Strategy, including flagship initiatives like the AWF-Wall Youth Leadership Program and Young Conservation Heroes project. Additionally, she supports the organizations engagement in the Africa Ministerial Conference on the Environment, Convention on Biological Diversity and Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services among others. Before joining AWF, She served in various organisations such as the Wildlands Conservation Trust, South African Youth Biodiversity Network and African CSOs Biodiversity Alliance. She holds a Master of science degree in Biology.
