Silvia is an international consultant and criminologist, with over 15 years of experience in the field of child justice, violence against children and child protection. Silvia is currently carrying out PhD research in youth criminology at KU Leuven, on diversion practices across Europe. She is an active member of the Child-Friendly Justice European Network and of the European Forum for Restorative Justice. Silvia has been recently collaborating with the UNODC Global Programme to End Violence Against Children, Penal Reform International and with Child Circle Ngo, on issues related to violence against children in detention, in the context of terrorism, and in the context of child trafficking.
