Sérgio Roberto Gomide Filho is the General Coordinator for Vocational Education Assessment (DAEPT) at Inep, Brazil’s National Institute for Educational Studies and Research under the Ministry of Education. He leads national evaluation initiatives in vocational and technological education, supervising large-scale assessments and institutional reviews aimed at strengthening quality standards, equity, and learning outcomes. Sérgio has extensive experience in test development and assessment operations and serves as a professor at the Federal Center for Technological Education of Minas Gerais (CEFET-MG). He holds a PhD in Brazilian Literature from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) and works across educational management and public-policy analysis, leading initiatives that foster innovation, collaboration, and evidence-informed decision-making in technical and vocational education.
