Serene Zhai is an undergraduate Data Science and Policy Studies major at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. Serene previously geared towards a degree concentration in pure Data Science following internships under a software development company and healthcare venture capital firm, but also wished to accomodate interests in archaeology and palaeography. Since then, Serene has considered pursuing a career in the field of digital humanities as a balanced solution. Within school, Serene serves as the Digital Communications Officer of CUHK Wu Zhi Qiao (Bridge to China) and was on the TEDxCUHK 2024 organising committee. Serene enjoys historic document transcription, museum visits, and lots of Chinese tea!
