Sebastian Hoe Wee Kiat is currently a lawyer trainee at Singapore Law Firm. As a socio-legal practitioner working at the intersection of law, social policy, and digital governance, he is also an accredited social worker. His work informs his advocacy for technology-enabled access to justice and responsible digital policy. Sebastian is pursuing qualification as an advocate and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore. With over five years of experience in the non-profit sector, Sebastian has led trauma-informed and peace-building interventions for individuals and families affected by family violence, poverty, and barriers to justice. He has published on trauma-informed family mediation and contributed to digital governance discussions, including the Asia Pacific Regional Internet Governance Forum. Sebastian is an associate student member of the Singapore Academy of Law. He holds a bachelor’s degree in social work (merit) and a juris doctor from the Singapore University of Social Sciences.
