Sebabatso is the Executive Director of AFRE, where she provides institutional oversight, develops operational policies, and supports the organization's strategic direction. She previously served as Deputy Executive Director and Senior Director, and currently works with the team to enhance the fellowship experience and lead creative initiatives such as Moya, AFRE's literary magazine, and Race Beyond Borders, its podcast exploring the global Black experience. Prior to joining AFRE, she was the acting Deputy CEO and Innovation Director at the DG Murray Trust, one of South Africa's largest private foundations, offering strategic support to incubated nonprofits. She also served as a Departmental Lecturer in African history at the University of Oxford. Sebabatso is a Salzburg Global Fellow.
