Sean Jones

Sean Jones is the managing director, US Office at Salzburg Global, where he leads Salzburg's Washington, DC office and oversees US programs, partnerships, and philanthropy. Sean was previously director of strategic partnerships at IREX, a global development organization, where he led IREX's partnership development and resource mobilization efforts worldwide. He also served as director of development at the Brookings Institution’s Global Economy and Development Program, where he led fundraising efforts for international research teams focused on education, sustainable development, and development finance; and as senior director of Corporate and Foundation Partnerships at World Learning. Sean holds a bachelor’s degree from Georgetown University and master’s degree in public administration from Baruch College; he also completed a North American Mobility Program Fellowship at the School of Public Policy and Administration at Carleton University (Canada). He serves on the Resource Development CEO Advisory Group of Hosteling International USA. He lives in Washington, D.C. with his wife and two children; in his spare time, he enjoys cycling and playing guitar.
