Sarah Dewees is a Public Relations major and Business and Public Policy minor at the University of Texas at Austin, passionate about using strategic communication to empower communities and support positive change. At UT Austin, Sarah served as Communications Director for Student Government, where she led internal and external communication efforts and managed social media content. Additionally, she worked as Lead Media Coordinator for a student campaign, overseeing digital content production and strategy. Sarah also contributed to campus media as a member of The Daily Texan's video production team, where she scripted, filmed, and edited stories for the YouTube channel and Instagram. Currently, she works as a Creative Communications Lead with the Texas Rocket Engineering Lab, supporting content creation and branding initiatives. Through the Salzburg Academy on Media and Global Change, Sarah hopes to enhance her understanding of global media literacy and its role in community engagement.
