Sameen Aziz is a senior digital verification journalist at Soch Fact Check, an International Fact-Checking Network (IFCN) signatory, where she investigates disinformation and misinformation in Pakistan. Her work focuses on gender-based disinformation, deep fakes, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) - generated misinformation on social media platforms. Sameen is also a master trainer for the Asian American Journalists Association (AAJA-Asia) and the Google News Initiative (GNI), where she leads workshops on media literacy and fact-checking for media students and journalists. Previously, she served as a communications intern at Salzburg Global, and her work has been featured in Forbes. Sameen holds a bachelor's degree in Mass Communication from G.C. University, Faisalabad, and a master's degree in Media and Communication Studies from the International Islamic University, Islamabad.
