Sajeed Fahurdeen is an Attorney-at-Law with over 15 years of experience working with communities in peacebuilding, human rights advocacy, and social development. Sajeed is a skilled trainer, researcher, development practitioner, and human rights education expert. From 2016 to 2019, he served as the National Coordinator for Sri Lanka at Equitas - International Centre for Human Rights Education. Additionally, he worked with the UNDP for over five years as an access to justice expert, addressing critical issues in legal reform and rights-based advocacy. Currently, Sajeed collaborates with the Diriya Women's Development Foundation, contributing to initiatives in peacebuilding, climate change adaptation, and the prevention of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV). His dedication to fostering equitable, sustainable, and peaceful communities underscores his commitment to social justice and human rights. He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and a Master's in Human Rights from the University of Colombo, a Master's in International Law and Human Rights from the University for Peace in Costa Rica, and a Master's in Transdisciplinary Social Development from Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines.
