Ryan Gawn is Global Director of The LEGO Foundation, where he has designed and leads a $46m advocacy portfolio, supporting partners in engaging and influencing global institutions and national governments to ensure that education systems can transform and harness the power of play and equip learners with 21st century skills. He has previously led civil society campaigns, served as a UK diplomat, and advised leading brands across the civil society and business sector. He is an advisor to the UK's Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office, Big Change, and former Council Member of Chatham House. He is a Salzburg Global Seminar Fellow (2007) and received his M.A. from Universidad del Salvador, Buenos Aires.
