Ronald Del Castillo leads the Social and Behaviour Change (SBC) team at the UN World Food Programme's Philippines Country Office. Since 2020, he has overseen a diverse portfolio aimed at promoting positive food and nutrition-related behaviors within the agrifood system. In his role, Ronald ensures that SBC is integrated across resilience building, social protection initiatives, and emergency preparedness and response programs. Previously, Ronald served as an Associate Professor in the Department of Health Policy and Administration at the University of the Philippines. He holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Fordham University in New York, a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from a joint program between Palo Alto University and Stanford University School of Medicine, and a Master's in Public Health from the University of California, Los Angeles. His professional training includes a predoctoral internship at Harvard, a postdoctoral fellowship at Tufts, and advanced research methods training at King's College London and the National University of Singapore. Ronald currently resides in Manila, where he continues to contribute to initiatives that promote health and resilience at both individual and community levels.
