Robert Winkler is currently a postdoc in the department of English and American studies at the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg in Austria. He received his Ph.D. from the International Graduate Centre for the Study of Culture (GCSC) at Justus Liebig University Giessen in 2019 with a dissertation on race and gender in hardcore punk, funded by the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes (Generation Reagan Youth: Representing and Resisting White Neoliberal Forms of Life in the U.S. Hardcore Punk Scenes (1979-1999), Trier, 2021). Robert has published widely, among other things on hardcore punk; whiteness studies; econarratology; literature and death; and the philosophy of Martin Heidegger.
