Rob Street is the Nuffield Foundation's Director of Justice, responsible for overseeing and developing our portfolio of research projects in justice. Our work covers many aspects of the UK justice system, civil and criminal, although we have particular interest in family and youth justice. The Nuffield Foundation is an independent charitable trust that seeks to advance social wellbeing through funding research and innovation to influence policy and practice in its core domain areas of Education, Justice, and Welfare: https://www.nuffieldfoundation.org/about. Prior to joining the Foundation in 2018, Rob was at the Youth Justice Board (the body responsible for oversight of the Youth Justice System in England & Wales) where he led their research, data, and analysis functions, including working to put evidence into practice in the youth justice sector. Rob has a background in law and criminology. Previously he has spent most of his career as a social researcher in the UK Government, working on a wide range of policy topics in crime and criminal justice.
