Robert is the Chief Executive Officer of AfricaNenda, where he leads the organization's strategic execution with a focus on advancing inclusive and interoperable digital payment systems across Africa. An expert in strategy and innovation within the African banking and mobile telecommunications sectors, he has played a key role in pioneering the Pan-African Payments and Settlement Systems (PAPSS) to facilitate cross-border trade. His career includes leadership in developing mobile payment solutions, expanding digital product offerings, and deploying ultra-low-cost mobile technologies across Africa and the Middle East. Prior to AfricaNenda, Robert served as Director of Strategy and Innovation at Afreximbank, Head of Strategy at Safaricom, and Director of Strategy, Research, and Innovation at KCB Bank Group. He is an alumnus of Imperial College London, Warwick Business School, and the University of Cape Town.
