Rina Shahriyani Shahrullah serves as the senior lecturer and the head of the Women Study Center at Batam International University (UIB) and has worked as a law professor at the Faculty of Law UIB since 2006. She was awarded as one of the 15 outstanding lecturers in Indonesia by the Ministry of Education and Culture in 2013 and the Batam Madani Anugerah Award from the Mayor of Batam as a Gender Champion in 2018. She teaches International Law, Business Law, Islamic Law, and Human Rights and has published 5 books in Indonesia and abroad. In addition, she has been a speaker at national and international seminars in the field of law, gender, human rights, and ASEAN. She has also been a member of the Alumni of Asian Public Intellectuals (API) under the Nippon Foundation Program since 2007. Rina holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Law from the University of Queensland, Australia.
