Rakiya is a passionate advocate for youth and women's empowerment, global health, and climate justice, with over four years of international experience spanning the private sector, foundations, the United Nations, and civil society. She is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health in Health Policy and Management at Columbia University, with a certificate in Health and Human Rights. Rakiya co-founded the African Global Health Network, a student-led initiative amplifying youth voices and fostering dialogue on public health issues in Africa. She has led impactful efforts such as Uganda's first eHealth Forum on Adolescent and Youth Sexual and Reproductive Health and supported UNFPA's 'Live Your Dream' campaign. Rakiya holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from American University and is committed to advancing health equity and sustainable development across the continent.
