Rachel Pastores is a human rights lawyer and works as Managing Counsel of the Public Interest Law Center (PILC). She renders legal services primarily to the poor and exploited sectors of the Philippine society on issues that affect social, civil, political, and economic rights. She is an advisor to the National Union of Peoples' Lawyers and a member of the International Association of Democratic Lawyers. She serves as a Senior Legal Consultant of the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) in peace negotiations with the Government of the Philippines. Her primary role is to draft agreements, explain issues related to existing domestic and international laws, and participate in peace negotiations. She also handles political prisoners' cases, including peace consultants and activists. In addition, Rachel has worked as a legal consultant in the Philippine House of Representatives of the progressive Party List.
