Prashan de Visser is the president and founder of Sri Lanka Unites, a youth movement for reconciliation in post-war Sri Lanka. The movement is the largest reconciliation grassroots movement in the country and has been highlighted as one of the top 20 grassroots movements in the commonwealth region and as one of the top 8 models of youth engagement at the commonwealth heads of state gathering in 2018. Prashan is also the president and founder of Global Unites, an international youth movement for conflict transformation engaged in 13 countries across the world. Prashan was recently awarded the Point of Light award by Her Majesty the Queen, Head of the Commonwealth, for his volunteer services in Sri Lanka and beyond. He is also a justice of peace and was among the youngest to be bestowed this civilian honor. Prashan completed his M.A. in peace studies and public policy at the Kroc Institute, University of Notre Dame, USA, and was selected from his cohort for the Scully Leadership Award.
