Pedro Pinheiro is the coordinator of the Inclusive Insurance and Sovereign & Humanitarian Solutions Working Groups of the Insurance Development Forum (IDF), a public-private partnership led by the insurance industry and co-chaired by the UNDP and the World Bank that helps countries anticipate, manage, and transfer risk. He also serves as Knowledge and Strategic Partnerships Manager at the Microinsurance Network (MiN), an international non-profit based in Luxembourg that promotes inclusive insurance as a resilience tool for vulnerable populations. With over 12 years of experience in insurance and a background in law and regulatory strategy, Pedro leads MiN’s engagement with partners such as the Global Shield against Climate Risks and supports multi-stakeholder processes in more than 20 countries. His work focuses on connecting policy and partnerships with practical delivery, bridging high-level dialogue and implementation. Pedro holds LL.M. degrees from FGV in Brazil and from the London School of Economics (LSE).
