Dr. Patrick Amoth, EBS is the current Director General for Health in the Ministry of Health, Kenya where he spearheads strategy development for effective delivery of health services in Kenya, as well as former Chairman of the WHO Executive Board. Dr Amoth has over 30 years experience in health systems management, reproductive health and public health. He has led Successful development of key national and international health policies and guidelines including the Universal Health Coverage roadmap for Kenya, and introduction of Pneumococcal, HPV and Rotavirus vaccines into the national immunization schedule. Dr. Amoth was the technical lead of the Ministry of Health in the successful containment and management of COVID-19 pandemic in Kenya. Dr. Amoth is a graduate of the University of Nairobi's Medical School and has a Masters in Obstetrics and Gynecology from the same university. He also holds a Diploma in Health Systems management from Galilee College in Israel.
